What to Expect
Creating community is our goal at Hartwell FIrst. The moment you walk through our doors, you will know you are welcome. Of course, knowing how things work always helps, too.
How Long Are Services?
All of our services are approximately 50-60 minutes. You are always encouraged to come early or stay late to connect, ask questions, and enjoy fellowship.
Where to Park
We offer handicap accessible parking in the loop behind the church (parking lot closest to the church- enter parking lot from Webb St.) and parking is available in our Gym parking lot. You may also park in the available spaces on East Howell St or at the church office (white building across the street from church)
You will enter the doors at the back of the church and then either use the elevator or stairs to go up one floor to the Fellowship Hall or Sanctuary.
What to Wear
Dress comfortably when you come to worship. Some of our attendees wear their “Sunday best,” but most come in more comfortable clothes. Don’t worry about what you wear – you’ll be welcomed no matter how fancy or casual you are. Just come to worship God!

Have Kids?
Children are always welcome during each service. We offer nursery care (infants- 5 years old) during the services. The nursery is located on the first floor in the Children's Area. Sunday School is offered for children who are preschool age-12th grade. Children's Sunday School (preschool- 5th grade) meets on the first floor in the Children's Area at 10 am. Children are checked in at the check in desk in the Children's Area when you arrive and then will go to their classroom. Youth Sunday School (6th- 12th grade) meets in the gym at 10 am.
Check out our Children’s Ministry (infant-5th grade) or Youth Ministry (middle/high schoolers).
Can I Receive Communion If I Am Not a Member?
Yes! We have an open table which means we believe that all are welcome to participate; you don't need to be a member of our church to celebrate communion with us.
