I'm New Here!
Welcome!
Here are answers to some of our most asked questions. If we can answer anything for you directly, please give our office a call at 706-376-3164.
When are church services? What should I expect?
We offer services on Sunday mornings at 9am and 11 am in our Sanctuary, and 9 am and 11am in our Fellowship Hall. In worship, we follow a Methodist liturgical tradition, but also make room for new input. Children are always welcome in worship, though we offer nursery care (infant-5 year olds) at all of our Sunday morning services. You are welcome to dress casually or more formally if you wish. There is no dress code.
The 9am service in our Sanctuary is a casual service. There is no choir; we have piano or organ accompaniment as the congregation sings.
The contemporary services in our Fellowship Hall (9am and 11am) feature our worship band led by Hannah Peeples.
The 11am service in our Sanctuary is a traditional service that includes our chancel choir led by Lynne Glasco.
All services can be viewed on our website and on our Facebook page.
Where do I park? Where do I enter the building?
We offer handicap accessible parking in the loop behind the church (parking lot closest to the church- enter parking lot from Webb St.) and parking is available in our Gym parking lot. You may also park in the available spaces on East Howell St or at the church office (white building across the street from church)
You will enter the doors at the back of the church and then either use the elevator or stairs to go up one floor to the Fellowship Hall or Sanctuary.
Where do my children go during worship?
Children are always welcome during each service.
We offer nursery care (infants- 5 years old) during the services. The nursery is located on the first floor in the Children's Area.
Sunday School is offered for children who are preschool age- 12th grade.
Children's Sunday School (preschool- 5th grade) meets on the 1st floor in the Children's Area at 10am. Children are checked in at the check in desk in the Children's Area when you arrive and then will go to their classroom.
Youth Sunday School (6th- 12th grade) meets in the Gym for Sunday School at 10am.
Am I allowed to partake in communion if I'm not a member?
We have an open table which means that all are welcome to participate; you don't need to be a member of our church to celebrate communion with us.
Do you offer Sunday School classes for adults?
